It was my first recipe I made after buying a waffle maker last December. Since that time I have done waffels just 2...or 3 times:))) Yes, it often happens with different kitchen staff! Use ripe but firm bananas for this recipe.
Ingrediens (12-14 waffles):
1 1/4 cups flour;
1 cup milk;
2 eggs;
85 g butter
(melted);
2 tsp sugar;
1,5 tsp baking
powder;
1/4 tsp salt;
1 tsp vanilla
extract
***
3 large ripe
bananas (peeled and sliced);
100 g butter (cut
into pieces);
4 tbsp corn syrup;
cinnamon
(optional)
In a bowl mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter slightly together. Stir this mixture into the dry ingredients and make a smooth batter (you can use an electric mixer or a hand whisk). Preheat a waffle maker, spoon 2 large tablespoons of the batter and cook according to the instructions. To make the sauce, melt the butter with the corn syrup in a pan over low heat and stir until combined. Let simmer for a couple of minutes then add the bananas and mix gently. Cook for a minute. Pour over the warm waffles and serve at once. Sprinkle the cinnamon, if you like.
